We Trot Together program - No Runner Left Behind
A portion of event proceeds from registrations and sponsorships will be reserved for the WeTrotTogether program. Runners and aspiring runners can request a discounted or complimentary entry into the Westfield Turkey Trot if the registration fee presents a financial burden or a barrier to attending and competing. This program allows for our event and each participant and partner to directly support others in our running community. Please email tears@practicehard.com if this program will help you to join us at the Trot!
Environmental Strides
-
We encourage carpooling to all of our events.
-
We encourage you to bring your own water in your favorite reusable bottle to reduce the amount of waste produced at the event. We will always have water available for each of you, but this is one easy way to reduce single-use plastics.
-
Please be mindful of trash bins vs. recycling bins. We want every single one of our plastic water bottles to make it to the recycling center instead of the landfill.
Racequality
Our recent past has been eye-opening to some problems our running community faces both globally and locally. Change starts at home with our own events. Going forward we strive to make our events wholly inclusive, diverse, equitable, welcoming to all, and environmentally friendly. We know this will be an ongoing journey, but it starts by announcing our intention. We need your help! As a member of our local running community, please reach out if you have any feedback or suggestions on how to attain these goals. It'll take Teamwork and fresh insights to get there!

2021 brought the addition of the non-binary overall and age group scoring divisions in addition to male and female.
-
2021 also brought the long overdue official addition of the wheeled athlete scoring division in honor of our friend Melissa Betkowski Platt!
